Where it began
Born in Manchester. Built inside a tattoo studio.
Butterluxe started upstairs at our studio Sword & Sparrow Tattoo between appointments, late nights and real clients walking through the door.
Established in 2013 we were tattooing every day and testing aftercare on real skin. Some products worked. Some didn’t feel right. So we decided to make something better for ourselves — and for the people we tattooed.
It started with small tins hand poured, made in a our spare room.
Friends in other studios began asking for it. Then suppliers reached out.
What began as something small quickly grew into something much bigger.
Today with over 15 years in the tattoo industry we manufacture a wide range of products for artists and customers across the UK and overseas — but we’ve kept the same hands-on approach from day one.
Everything is made by us at our custom built factory!
From sourcing raw ingredients, to melting, pouring, filling and labelling we stay involved in every step.
No shortcuts. No mass production mindset. Just quality control and pride in what we make.
We carefully choose natural ingredients that actually perform — products that feel good on skin and support the healing process properly.
